Traveling within Switzerland is super convenient because of the excellent public transport system. It also is the best way to explore and appreciate the beauty this country has to offer. Consider buying the Swiss Travel Pass for 8 days (which also provides discounts on mountain rides/cable cars etc).

If traveling with kids, Children under 6 years travel for free and children between 6 and 16 years of age (accompanied by atleast one parent) travel for free with the free Swiss Family Card.
